Old Dogs New Tricks on Tonight’s CP

It’s another Old Dogs New Tricks show on tonight’s Capital Punishment, wherein we’ll hear recent releases from some of our fave ‘80s bands. Have you been wondering what the likes of the Alarm, the Damned, Soft Cell, UB-40 and the Chills have been up to? Well, wonder no more; they’re back and good as ever. And as if that weren’t enough incentive, we’ll feature an Olivia Newton-John cover from indie goddess Juliana Hatfield.

I hope you can join us tonight at 9 pm Eastern, 8 pm Central and 6 pm Pacific, repeat at midnight/11 pm/9 pm and again Sunday at 9 am/8 am and 6 am.

It’s the Hey Kids, Remember the Sixties?* show on tonight’s Capital Punishment. So grab your tie-dyes and beads and join us tonight at 9 pm Eastern, 8 pm Central and 6 pm Pacific, repeat at midnight/11 pm/9 pm and again Sunday at 9 am/8 am and 6 am.

Total Coverup, 80s Edition on Tonight’s CP

It’s another Total Coverup show on tonight’s Capital Punishment.  We’ll hear cover versions of some of the best 80s alternative tunes. I’m not sure whether they top the originals, but they certainly hold their own. Check out interpretations of New Wave Classics by Susannah Hoffs (of the Bangles), Robyn Hitchcock, Ride, The Donnas and (gasp!) Def Leppard, tonight at 9 pm Eastern, 8 pm Central and 6 pm Pacific, repeat at midnight/11 pm/9 pm and again Sunday at 9 am/8 am and 6 am.

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun on Tonight’s CP

It’s the Hallowe’en show on tonight’s Capital Punishment. We’ll celebrate my favorite holiday with depraved tunes from the likes of Creepshow, Leibach, the Fleshtones, Raveonettes, the Misfits and (of course) Hillbilly Moon Explosion. Plus Ministry playing that song, but a version you haven’t heard before. No matter whether the genre is goth, industrial or psychobilly*, tonight’s songs prove that Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun.

I hope you can join us tonight at 9 pm Eastern, 8 pm Central and 6 pm Pacific, repeat at midnight/11 pm/9 pm and again Sunday at 9 am/8 am and 6 am.
